Across elite and U23 cross-country racing at the La Thuile World Cup, SR SUNTOUR sponsored riders earned their places at the front of the packs and on the podium steps.

BERTA’S FIRST VICTORY

Starting with Origine Racing Division, Italian national champion Martina Berta took a hard-fought Women Elite XCO victory ahead of Savilia Blunk. For Berta, the result marked her first Elite XCO World Cup win, made even more special in front of the Italian crowd.

Origine Racing Division also put a rider on the Men Elite XCO podium. Mathis Azzaro finished second to Luca Martin and 13 seconds ahead of Adrien Boichis, earning his spot on the second step of the podium.

PAUL IS STILL WINNING

For Lexware Mountainbike Team, Paul Schehl continued his U23 run, marking his fourth straight XCC win and third straight XCO win of the year while extending his overall standings lead in both disciplines. Lexware teammates Nicholas Konecny and Khalid Sidahmed finished sixth and seventh in the Men’s U23 XCO, while in the Women’s U23 field, Elina Benoit took fifth in XCO and sixth in XCC after a difficult period away from racing.

La Thuile is a tough and technical course for riders and suspension alike. At SR SUNTOUR, we are happy to see so many of our riders cross the line with results they can be proud of. These achievements come not only from being combative on the climbs and committing to the descents, but also from the support of an entire team and crew, who help prepare the athletes’ bodies, minds, bikes and suspension for race day, when it really counts.

We extend our congratulations to Martina Berta, Mathis Azzaro, Paul Schehl and the entire Origine Racing Division and Lexware Mountainbike Team crews on a standout showing in La Thuile.
