One week after sweeping both U23 races in Leogang, Paul Schehl did it again. At the Lenzerheide World Cup, the Lexware Mountainbike Team rider won both the XCC and XCO races, turning a strong run of form into a clear statement of performance.

After mastering the wet, slippery conditions in Austria, Schehl carried his confidence into the hot, dry racing in Switzerland. On Friday, June 19, he took his third consecutive U23 XCC World Cup win, holding his nerve in a fast final-lap fight and extending his lead in the short-track standings. On Sunday, he added a decisive XCO victory, setting the pace early and riding clear to repeat the double.

PODIUM FOR GLORIA SCARSI

The margins in the Lenzerheide World Cup downhill race told a different story. Gloria Scarsi of MS-Racing finished third in the Women Elite DH final, just 0.813 seconds behind Lisa Baumann and 1.404 seconds behind winner Anna Newkirk. The DH track at Lenzerheide demands precision; every braking point, impact and line correction is reflected on the clock.

Across two very different disciplines, the common thread was control under pressure. Schehl is now the man to beat in Men’s U23 cross-country, having moved into the overall lead, while Scarsi’s podium marks her as a major contender in a tight field fighting for top spot in women’s elite downhill.

For SR SUNTOUR, Lenzerheide highlighted the same suspension demands from riders at their absolute physical limits. In cross-country, rough technical sections, repeated impacts and small-bump sensitivity all influence fatigue, control and traction. In downhill, the margin is even more compressed: taking big hits and even bigger drops while keeping the bike rolling fast and the tires connected to the ground. Different race formats, same requirement: suspension that helps riders stay composed when the margins matter.
