SR SUNTOUR WERX rider Carson Storch achieved an amazing third place at the Red Bull Rampage 2023, the most prestigious and challenging freeride mountain bike event in the world. The event, which took place on October 13th in Virgin, Utah, featured 15 of the best freeriders in the world, who, with the help of their crews, built and rode their own unique lines on the steep and rugged desert terrain.

Carson rode his Propain Spindrift CF bike equipped with a custom tuned SR SUNTOUR RUX 200mm fork and Voro Coil rear shock, which delivered the performance and control needed to execute on his demanding lines. His first run was a showcase of his versatility and skill, as he first performed a flawless backflip followed by two huge back-to-back 360s, followed by a final backflip – each with style and precision.

“It was exactly what I envisioned!”

Storch’s run was impressive not only for its flow and amplitude, but also for its difficulty and commitment. “That run - every single part of it was stomped perfectly!” exclaimed the Red Bull commentator as Storch celebrated at the finish after his first run. “It was exactly what I envisioned,” added Carson during his interview. Storch’s final score of 87 points was enough to secure third place, his second time on the Rampage podium. Carson, who has been riding with SR SUNTOUR since 2019, has proven himself to be one of the most exciting and creative riders in the history of Rampage, and we are proud to support him in his pursuit of freeride excellence.

“Alex’s comeback run was immaculate!"

Fellow SR SUNTOUR rider Alex Volokhov made his competition debut at Red Bull Rampage in 2023. Alex had qualified for Rampage in 2022, but after a crash on the final day of training, he made the tough decision to pull out of the event. This year may have been his first year of competition as a rider, but Volokhov is a veteran Rampage digger (trail builder). With focus and determination leading up to the event, he reconstructed and improved upon his lines from 2022 which were steep and fast: his comeback run was immaculate. Alex‘s timing and flow were perfectly dialed, earning him a score of 72 points from the judges and 12th place overall. Alex’s retro-painted Rocky Mountain Slayer was equipped with RUX fork and TRIAir 3CR damper for optimal control.
