GREAT SUCCESS AT THE FRENCH CHAMPIONSHIPS AND SWISS EPIC

SR SUNTOUR are lighting up fireworks with their race results at the French XCO Championships and SWISS EPIC

There are almost no international races due to Covid19. One of the few was the French Championship in Les Menuires last weekend – and this one will stay in the memories for SR SUNTOUR for a long time.

It was impossible to do XCO much better. Jordan Sarrou (Absolute Absalon-BMC Team) claimed the French Elite Champion title, long awaited and deserved. He perfectly managed the race, flew alone into the lead from the 3rd lap until the finish line, increasing his lead each lap. Titouan Carod become Vice French Champion after an incredibly strong race just behind his teammate and got the silver medal.

Another SR SUNTOUR Athlete on the top of the Elite winner's podium: For the women it´s Lena Gerault for the VCA Anjos Team who takes the Gold Medal after a perfectly managed race.

Not yet enough! Five more Gold medals went to Mathis Azzaro (U23 / Absolute Absalon-BMC Team), Olivia Onesti (U19), Lilou Fabregue (U17) and Alexandre Martins (U17) for the Scott Creuse Oxygene Gueret Team.

SWISS EPIC - Up the hill and down the trails

They call it "the smaller brother" or "the steeper challenge". The Swiss Epic 2020 is in the books. The first stage started in Flims/ Laax and moved over to Arosa with a great finish in Davos. The route features 320 kilometres of racing, including 12,250 metres of climbing. Our athletes from Centurion Vaude, KMC Fruit to Go and Texpa-Simplon showed up for this big race. With two podiums the Centurion Vaude men were doing quite well until the third stage. Ben Zwiehoff had a crash and needed some stitches on his knee. After that bummer, Stefanie Dohrn was able to finish the Swiss Epic in 2nd place in GC. Also our Markus Kaufmann finished in a really strong 4th place.

Thanks to all athletes and teams for these incredible achievements.
