UCI XC WC IN NOVE MESTO

Electrifying as ever – two top 10 results

Last weekend we found ourselves back in Nove Mesto na Morave, Czech Republic, for the second round of the UCI XC World Cup. The first day was blanketed by dark, heavy rain clouds and mother nature inevitably opened the flood-gates. Was it going to be another mud-fest? No. We woke the next day to clear skies and packed away the brollies. Nove Mesto has long been a rider’s favorite for both the track and the electrifying atmosphere created by thousands of fans. The weekend started off with Friday’s short race and Jordan Sarrou, Absolute Absalon, rode his AXON34 WERX to 6th place and front row gridding for Sunday. Max Brandl, Lexware Mountainbike Team, came highly motivated and determined to make up for the disappointment in Albstadt. With better luck this time  and a stonking ride, he finished the race in 8th position.Jordan Sarrou then brought home the second top 10 result for our new AXON34 WERX on Sunday in the men elite race. It was a hard fought race for everybody. Jens Schuermans, Creuse Oxygène Guéret, finished 20th which is a remarkable result considering his crash earlier in the race. In summary, it was another satisfying, fun weekend of racing and, as every year, Nove Mesto na Morave did not fail to deliver. Up next is the second round of the UCI DH World in Fort William. See you all there!
